Operationalisation of the Strategy for 2014−2020

Grupa Azoty Group's Strategy for 2014–2020 – Operationalisation: an outline

The Grupa Azoty Group has been working consistently to strengthen its presence and competitiveness on the global market. Seeking to realise its still considerable potential for further growth, the Group aims to operationalise its Strategy for 2014–2020 under a comprehensive programme announced by the Management Board in August 2014.

Operationalisation defines an approach to creating value in the course of implementing the Group's strategy.

The Grupa Azoty Group's key corporate objectives under the Strategy are to:
     I.  Deliver industry-leading rates of return to shareholders.
     II. Remain one of the three leading players in the European fertilizer market.

The operationalisation's key measurable objectives are to:
  • Increase ROCE to ≥ 14%;
  • Secure PLN 300m in annual savings under Azoty PRO from 2017;
  • Invest PLN 6bn–7bn in organic growth;
  • Pursue mergers and acquisitions.

Operationalisation aims to achieve these objectives through projects in three core areas:
  1. Organic growth,
  2. Operational excellence,
  3. Mergers and acquisitions.
Organic growth is gradual expansion of the Group's business based on existing or anticipated resources generated over the many years of its operations and from planned initiatives.
Operational Excellence is a multi-faceted approach to optimisation, oriented towards long-term sustainable results.
Out of 2,000 potential targets, Grupa Azoty has selected, by way of a multi-stage process, ten companies which it is interested in acquiring.
