Oxoplast Medica® (DEHP) is oily liquid, colourless or light straw-coloured, without mechanical
impurities. Oxoplast
 Medica® meets requirements in accordance with European Pharmacopoeia.

Intended use
and application



Oxoplast Medica® is
used in the medical industry for producing blood bags and blood transfusion
sets.



 



Pursuant to the REACH Ordinance, any product may
be used in accordance with scenarios of exposure for identified applications:



  • production,
  • distribution
    DEHP,
  • formulation of DEHP in dry
    compounds and in the form of Plastisol,

  • processing substances
    including DEHP as plasticizer by combining, calendering, applying coating,
    extrusion, injection moulding for goods and soft processing of the resulting
    polymers,

  •  use as
    laboratory chemical.











 



Packaging and transport



Oxoplast Medica® is
loaded into steel railway tanks, containers tanks, car tanks and unit packages
of the client  in which it is also transported.



Oxoplast Medica®  must not be transported with strong oxidants and alkalies.



Unit packages with the product should be
transported in covered means of transport. 



The product is not hazardous pursuant to the
RID/ ADR regulations.



 



Storage



Requirements for warehouse
structures:



  • Local exhaust ventilation
     removing vapours from the places of their emission, and general
    ventilation,

  • Protection against static
    electricity: discharge may cause ignition of organic vapours,

  •  A sprinkler system to cool
    down tanks / containers with sprayed streams of water in case of fire, 

  • Impermeable floor
     allowing collection of leaks and preventing their penetration into the
    sewerage system,

  • The room should be cool and dry.











 



Storage
conditions:



  • Store away from sources of
    ignition: smoking forbidden, 

  • Store containers tightly
    closed in a cool, well-ventilated place,

  • Store and open containers
    carefully,

  • Containers and tanks must be
    properly marked,

  • tanks and containers must be
    made of materials resistant to bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate,

  • Portable fire extinguishing
    equipment should be available in the room.
