As part of the ongoing consolidation process, on December 10th 2013 Grupa Azoty established the Group Council, a body with advisory, opinion and initiating powers. The Council was established by a resolution of the Management Board of the parent (Grupa Azoty S.A.) in accordance with the adopted organisational model. The Council consists of the presidents and members of the Management Boards of all of the Group consolidated companies and the Managing Director of the parent.
It is a permanent body whose main tasks include advising, issuing opinions and initiating management improvement measures and changes in functional and business areas (in particular in the strategic development and marketing plans). The Council is also tasked with issuing opinions on proposed planning assumptions for the preparation of separate and consolidated budgets of the Grupa Azoty Group companies for particular financial years and assumptions for long-term plans.
The Council is also a platform for streamlining the communication system and the principles of cooperation within the Grupa Azoty Group, for exchanging information on joint activities and on work related to the development of a reporting system for the management board of the Group and the management boards of the Group companies, and for initiating social outreach and promotional activities.
