Construction of propylene unit

A new propylene (PDH) unit is to be built in Police. The PLN 1.7bn project is due for completion in 2019. Poland is now a net propylene importer. Majority of the imports are purchased by Grupa Azoty Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. to produce OXO alcohols. The Police unit will be the third largest facility of this type in Europe.

Construction of nitrate mechanical granulation plant

A facility for production of ammonium nitrate-based granulated fertilizers is now under construction in Puławy. It is the largest construction site in Puławy since the plant’s commissioning in the 1960s. The project’s budget is PLN 385m, and the unit’s daily output will be 1,400 tonnes of calcium ammonium nitrate or 1,200 tonnes of mechanically granulated nitrate.

New CHP plant in Kędzierzyn – to be inserted

Industrial energy generation is essential for energy independence of the fertilizer and chemical industries. The Group’s Kędzierzyn subsidiary is working on restoring its heat and power generating capacities. The new unit will also help the Group to meet the growing environmental protection requirements. The first stage of the project, to be completed in 2016, will cost PLN 375m. In 2019, the new CHP plant will supply 250 MW heat and 50 MW electricity.
