Grupa Azoty announcement in connection with sanctions imposed on Viatcheslav Kantor

In view of the sanctions imposed on April 8th 2022 against Viatcheslav Kantor, holding indirectly 19.82% of the share capital of Grupa Azoty S.A. through related entities (Norica Holding S.à.r.l. of Luxembourg and Opansa Enterprises Limited of Cyprus and Rainbee Holdings Limited of Cyprus), the Company announces that: Viatcheslav Kantor is not a beneficial owner of the Company within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/849 of the European Parliament and of the Council; Viatcheslav Kantor neither owns nor has control over the Company within the meaning of the EU sanctions legislation, including Council Regulation (EU) No 269/2014. Therefore, the imposition of sanctions on Mr Kantor does not result in any sanctions being imposed against Grupa Azoty S.A.
