The Grupa Azoty Group recorded negative fourth-quarter 2022 EBITDA, with the earnings dragged down chiefly by the Agro Segment. The Group posted full-year 2022 consolidated revenue of PLN 24,658m, EBITDA of PLN 2,545m and EBITDA margin of 10.3%.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, the Grupa Azoty Group generated estimated consolidated revenue of PLN 5,107m and negative EBITDA of PLN -296m, with a negative EBITDA margin of -5.8%. For the full year, the Grupa Azoty Group generated estimated consolidated revenue of PLN 24,658m and EBITDA of PLN 2,545m, with an EBITDA margin of 10.3%.
Grupa Azoty S.A. continues to release regular updates on estimated consolidated production volumes. The company has also announced a temporary shutdown of the ammonia and urea production plants at Grupa Azoty Police.
At its meeting on February 9th 2023, the Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. appointed Marcin Kowalczyk as Member of the Company's Management Board of the 12th term, with effect from February 10th 2023, serving as Vice President of the Management Board.
On 9th November 2022 analysts of ERSTE SECURITIES recommended SELL on Grupa Azoty S.A. shares, with the target price set at PLN 26.44
In accordance with the key terms and conditions defined for the purchase (the “Term Sheet”), the transaction would be carried out by Grupa Azoty S.A.’s entering into a preliminary conditional share purchase agreement to acquire in the future 100% of shares in Solarfarm’s share capital, followed by the purchase of the shares under a share purchase agreement in the first half of 2024 by Grupa Azoty S.A. or another company of its Group provided that technical conditions are adjusted and building permits for the construction of a power plant are obtained.
