The official celebrations commenced by paying homage to the builders of Państwowa Fabryka Związków Azotowych (National Nitrogen Plant) of Mościce and laying of flowers by the memorial plaques at the Main Office building. The grand finale of the Employee Day was an official gala held at the Mościce Arts Centre, which − as every year − attracted not only the company employees, but also figures from the world of politics, economy, science and business. As always, the ceremony was an occasion to award state decorations to employees of Grupa Azoty S.A. – gold, silver, and bronze ‘Medals for Long Service’, medals for ‘Outstanding service to Grupa Azoty’, ‘Medals for Long Work, and length-of-service awards for employees who had been with Grupa Azoty of Tarnów for 45 and 40 years. In addition, three honorary medals for ‘Outstanding service to Grupa Azoty’ were also presented. In total, 180 persons received various honorary titles. In between the official parts of the gala, the attendees had an opportunity to witness, in vintage surroundings, an extraordinary performance entitled ‘Nine Decades of Polish Song’ by Mieczysław Szcześniak, Reni Jusis, and other distinguished artists. The agenda for Saturday, October 7th, included events such as ‘A Saturday with Grupa Azoty’ and an All Stars Concert to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Grupa Azoty. ‘A Saturday with Grupa Azoty’ is a family event full of cultural, educational and outdoor activities, as well as many other attractions for the whole family. The event was opened by Wojciech Wardacki, Grupa Azoty CEO, who wished all the participants great fun. And great fun it was indeed. Games, contests and competitions attracted a lot of the youngest participants, and songs performed by children’s music group ‘Fasolki’ brought generations together. At the same time, those who enjoy the spirit of rivalry could take part in an urban game ‘Following the steps of Ignacy Mościcki and Eugeniusz Kwiatkowski’. At around 4pm, fans of good music gathered at the green area next to the Mościce Arts Centre. The All Stars Concert to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of Grupa Azoty began when C-BooL walked on stage, followed by Sylwia Grzeszczak, and Ania Dąbrowska, and ended with the performance by Afromental. The celebrations ended shortly before 11 pm with a huge fireworks show. The Saturday events organised by Grupa Azoty were attended by nearly ten thousand people. Traditionally, as part of the Employee Day, a sports event was held in September and a Holy Mass was celebrated on October 1st at the Holy Virgin Mary Queen of Poland church in Mościce.
