Grupa Azoty joins Tarnów Municipality Harvest Festival as its Main Partner

Harvest Festival celebrations attended by Polish President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda were held in Zbylitowska Góra, Tarnów Municipality, on August 21st. Grupa Azoty joined this year’s edition of the Harvest Festival as its Main Partner.

The presence of the Presidential Couple at Saturday’s Harvest Festival was an honour to local farmers and an expression of gratitude to organisations from the Kraków province for making wreaths that won the title of the most beautiful wreath in Poland in 2018 and 2020 in the Harvest Wreath Competition for the Prize of the President of Poland that brings together participants from all Polish provinces.

Grupa Azoty representatives were also present at the event, providing attendees with information on the company’s products and their applications.

‘Joining this year’s Harvest Festival as its Partner has a special meaning to us. As a fertilizer manufacturer, Grupa Azoty has always stayed and will stay close to farmers, and as a responsible partner and employer it significantly contributes to the development of the region. Many residents of the Tarnów municipality were or still are Grupa Azoty employees,’said Grzegorz Kozioł, head of the Tarnów municipality.

During the event, Grupa Azoty was represented by Zbigniew Paprocki, CEO and Member of the Management Board.

‘The presence of the Presidential Couple at the Harvest Festival is a great honour not only to the Tarnów municipality, but also to the region. This year’s Harvest Festival celebrations had a special meaning to Grupa Azoty as well. We had the opportunity to share information about our company, its products and solutions for farmers. We appreciate the great effort put by farmers into this year’s harvest, which makes the opportunity to meet them on Saturday even more valuable. Direct interactions with farmers and listening to them is vital to Grupa Azoty,’ Mr Paprocki noted.

The festival in Zbylitowska Góra was full of attractions for visitors. In addition to the customary harvest traditions and the harvest wreath competition, the celebrations included village presentations and food tastings organised by Farmers’ Wives Associations. The artistic part began with music concerts performed by folk bands, including the Świerczkowiacy Song and Dance Group. There were also raffles, a play area for children, and free refreshments.
