This year’s investor relations ranking of the WIG 30 index companies was topped by Cyfrowy Polsat and Tauron. In the opinion of managers and analysts, Cyfrowy Polsat, ING Bank Śląski, and LPP are the best in terms of communication with the market. On the other hand, the readers gave their highest praise to Tauron, Grupa Azoty, and PZU.
‘Three companies of the Grupa Azoty Group are listed on the WSE, each with its own IR services. At the corporate level, the Group’s capital market relations are coordinated by the Parent’s, that is Grupa Azoty’s, investor relations office, which I supervise directly. Responsibilities of the three persons who work at the IR office of Grupa Azoty Tarnów include fulfilling disclosure requirements, preparing and publishing current reports, as well as organising meetings with capital market stakeholders, and ensuring the Company’s presence in the Internet,’ says Paweł Łapiński. ‘Based on what we can infer from talks with international financial investors, they first of all expect to receive information on the future of Grupa Azoty, its vision and strategy in the long term, over the next five years or beyond. Polish investors are mainly interested in what the upcoming quarter will bring. However, what matters to all investors is the Grupa Azoty’s investment projects and their expected results. The questions can be very specific. Institutional investors clearly have detailed knowledge about the chemical industry. Retail investors also show interest in Grupa Azoty’s strategic plans, and their questions often relate to the Company’s dividend plans.
Readers of the Parkiet daily highly appreciated Grupa Azoty’s investor relations. I would like to thank all readers who took part in the survey. I would also like to thank my team and all those who contributed to enhancing Grupa Azoty’s image on the capital market,’ added Mr Łapiński.
The results of Poland’s largest investor relations survey at the WSE’s WIG 30 index companies, organised by the Parkiet daily and the Chamber of Brokerage Houses, were announced during the annual Conference of the Chamber of Brokerage Houses in Bukowina Tatrzańska.
The conference is an annual meeting of the leading representatives of the capital market, attended by investors, listed companies, brokerage houses, banks, governmental authorities, stock exchanges, clearing houses, business associations and local government institutions. The initiative aims to promote companies with the highest investor relations standards and to build confidence in the capital market. This year’s Conference of the Chamber of Brokerage Houses was held under the honorary patronage of Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland.
