Polimery Police with new building permits
On February 19 and 20, 2020 the EPC contractor of the Polimery Police investment project, Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd. received another 3 building permits.

The decisions issued by the Police District Authority allow Hyundai Engineering to start the construction of the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit.

PDH is one of the two key units in the "Polimery Police" complex, which will be designed based on the purchased UOP Oleflex license. When the unit becomes operational, it will be possible to produce almost 430,000 tonnes per year, which, in the next step, will be used to produce polypropylene.

The "Polimery Police" project is already being implemented in the area of the future harbor and storage terminal. The decision allowing construction works to commence in this area was issued in late December 2019 by Marek Subocz, the Zachodniopomorskie Province Deputy Voivode, and the official handover of the construction site took place on January 7, 2020 in the presence of Mr. Tomasz Hinc, the Zachodniopomorskie Province Voivode, Mr. Wojciech Wardacki, Ph.D., President of Grupa Azoty S.A. and Grupy Azoty Zakłady Chemiczne “Police” S.A., and many more.

In the area of the port, Hyundai is currently conducting preparatory works for the construction of propane and ethylene tanks. On January 21, work began related to deep foundation construction, also known as ‘piling’.

The "Polimery Police" investment project will include, apart from the unit for the production of propylene using the PDH method and the terminal, the following components: a polypropylene production unit, auxiliary units and logistic infrastructure.
