Two fast-charging stations have been installed on the premises of Grupa Azoty ZAK to enable the operation of low- and zero-emission vehicles. The company’s fleet currently includes four electric-powered vehicles for business use by employees. A grant from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management was obtained for their operation.
Ter Hell Plastic GmbH will be the distributor of Grupa Azoty Polyolefins’s polypropylene product, Gryfilen® across the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), and Central and Eastern European markets (Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria). In March 2023, Ter Hell Plastic GmbH was also named as the distributor for Gryfilen® in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
The Annual General Meeting of Grupa Azoty S.A. was held in Tarnów on June 29th 2023.
Polymery Police, one of the largest projects in the European chemical industry, begins to manufacture polypropylene under the Gryfilen® brand. The new plant of the Grupa Azoty Group will produce 437,000 tonnes of polypropylene and 429,000 tonnes of propylene annually. Sale of the Gryfilen® polypropylene in the European market will start in August 2023. The Polimery Police project’s budget is over PLN 7.2 billion.
Grupa Azoty S.A. and its subsidiaries have executed an annex to the Framework Agreement for the supply of gas fuel, annexes to existing Individual Contracts and new bilateral Individual Contracts with PKN Orlen S.A., with a total estimated value of approximately PLN 18bn in the years 2023–2027.
The ORLEN Group is analysing a possible acquisition of Zakłady Azotowe Puławy owned by Grupa Azoty S.A. The companies have signed a cooperation agreement and a non-disclosure agreement enabling due diligence to start at the Puławy-based company. The merger would increase the ORLEN Group’s participation in the fertilizer sector and enhance its efficiency and competitiveness on the European market through numerous synergies. For farmers and other customers of the two companies, the merger would mean a better and broader range of fertilizer products and easier access to products in demand at a given time, achieved through enhanced production flexibility.
