Grupa Azoty S.A. has donated sports equipment worth over PLN 60 thousand to further primary schools in the Tarnów county, including over 500 pieces of sportswear, 500 basketballs, volleyballs and footballs and 500 training bibs.
Grupa Azoty S.A. has obtained all corporate approvals required to enter into sponsorship agreements with Unia Tarnów Żużlowa Sportowa Spółka Akcyjna, its riders and coach. Prior to that, the company commenced cooperation with Marek Cieślak, a motorcycle speedway expert and manager, who acts as a consultant in the club.
On Wednesday March 23rd 2022, a doctoral thesis was defended at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Silesian University of Technology as part of the first edition of the implementation-based doctorates programme. The EngD degree was awarded to Urszula Dorosz, an employee of Grupa Azoty ZAK, following defence of her dissertation entitled ‘Chemoenzymatic methods for obtaining lactic acid esters’.
Grupa Azoty S.A. has completed commissioning work on the flue gas desulphurisation plant for boiler K-5. The design objectives for the plant were thus achieved, in particular those pertaining to the levels of gas emissions to air, in accordance with the requirements of the BAT conclusions.
Grupa Azoty is set to launch a refreshed version of its Idea4Azoty programme, which aims to facilitate collaboration between Grupa Azoty and providers of innovative solutions for industrial applications. The project is targeted at universities, research institutions and start-ups.
