At its meeting on February 9th 2023, the Supervisory Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. appointed Marcin Kowalczyk as Member of the Company's Management Board of the 12th term, with effect from February 10th 2023, serving as Vice President of the Management Board.
Marcin Kowalczyk is a graduate of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Faculty of Law and Administration. In addition, he completed postgraduate studies at the National Defence Academy in Warsaw and a postgraduate programme in financial audit, management control and accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics. He holds an MBA degree from the Management Academy of Applied Sciences in Warsaw.
Marcin Kowalczyk has extensive professional experience, gained in both public administration roles and at commercial-law companies. Marcin Kowalczyk served as vice president of the Military Property Agency (“AMW”), having previously sat on the AMW supervisory board. He held a managerial position at PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. From 2018 to 2020, he was vice president of Wojskowe Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe sp. z o.o., a military supplies dealer. From May 2020 he worked for PGE Dystrybucja S.A., first as vice president and then, from September 2020, as president of its management board. Recently, he was employed at the Ministry of State Assets.
He served as member of the supervisory boards of PKP Cargo S.A. and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. Currently, since July 2022, he is member of the supervisory board of PZU Życie S.A., the leading life insurance provider.
