Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 5 June 2019 lays down rules on the making available on the market of EU fertilising products and amends Regulations (EC) No 1069/2009 and (EC) No 1107/2009 and repeals Regulation (EC) No 2003/2003. The Regulation lays down rules on the making available on the market of EU fertilising products comprising organo-mineral fertilisers and other fertilising products, i.e., liming materials, soil improvers, growing media, plant biostimulants, as well as inhibitors.

The Regulation imposes on producers new obligations, which were analysed and prepared to be implemented at Grupa Azoty sufficiently in advance.

Under the signed framework agreement, PCBC will assess the conformity of the notified EU fertilising products and conduct audits to confirm the compliance of the system ensuring quality of production at the individual production plants.

This was made possible, among others, thanks to the efforts of the Group’s Corporate Team composed of AGRO experts from all our companies. As a Group, we are prepared for our fertilizers to be favourably assessed by the notified body, that is Polskie Centrum Badań i Certyfikacji S.A.,” said Zbigniew Paprocki, Member of the Management Board and CEO of Grupa Azoty S.A.

Polskie Centrum Badań i Certyfikacji S.A. appreciates that Grupa Azoty S.A., one of the largest fertilizer producers in Poland and Europe, has chosen PCBC S.A. to assess the conformity of its products.
