The Krzysztof Penderecki
European Centre for Music is a modern, world-class campus
located in Lusławice, promoting
broad-based participation in culture and supporting opportunities to develop
musical talents. The Centre includes a building which houses a 650-seat concert
hall with excellent acoustic properties, offering a full range of stage
facilities complete with technical and administrative support, as well as a residence complex with individual practice rooms, a library and a dining room. In
November 2021 the Lusławice Manor and Palace Complex (which includes a Manor
House and Arboretum) was taken under the patronage of the Polish government,
forming an inseparable part of the European Centre for Music ever since.
Grupa Azoty had a previous engagement with the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music through Strategic Partnership of the Centre and Patronage of its Concert Hall, covering the years 2013–2017.
“Since its inception, the Centre has popularised both the most valuable works of the world’s music and the latest musical trends among numerous audiences at concerts given in Lusławice. As Grupa Azoty, we have made a major contribution to making the Centre an artistic and educational gem of the Lesser Poland region. We are keen to continue our support of this place and thus to promote culture among the region’s residents. With the highest international profile of events hosted by the Centre, I believe we will be able to achieve these goals,” says Tomasz Hinc, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A.
“The ties forged between Grupa Azoty and the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music will help us deliver even more valuable programmes spanning both educational initiatives and concerts. I'm delighted that one of Poland’s major corporate sponsors decided to again choose our institution as a trusted partner, and I’m confident that our joint activities will serve the region's residents as well as artists and music lovers visiting Lesser Poland. Taking this occasion to thank Mr President and the entire Management Board of Grupa Azoty, I hope that our engagement will be prolonged into the future, which will allow us to build a long-term partnership strategy,” says Adam Balas, Director of the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music.
