Polish champions join forces
Grupa Azoty S.A. and Ursus S.A. have signed a letter of intent to cooperate in the joint development and implementation of efficient farming projects and the use of hydrogen as a source of energy for fuel cells powering electric motors. The companies will also work together on promoting and implementing educational projects.

The Grupa Azoty Group and the National Contact Point for the Horizon 2020 Programme have signed an agreement on close cooperation. The aim of the agreement is to increase the participation of the Grupa Azoty Group, partner companies and research institutions in the Horizon 2020 EU Framework Programme, to lend support in applying for grants, finding consortium partners and implementing projects, as well as in promoting the programme and the Group’s potential.

Q1–Q3 2017: Plastics as the key driver of the Grupa Azoty Group’s all-time high performance
In its consolidated financial statements for Q3 2017, the Grupa Azoty Group reported revenue of nearly PLN 2.2bn, up 10% year on year. With EBITDA of more than PLN 255m (up by nearly 77% y/y) and net profit above PLN 75m (PLN 5m for Q3 2016), the Group has a positive view on its performance in Q3 2017.

Best Annual Report award for Grupa Azoty S.A.
Grupa Azoty S.A. was recognised in the Best Annual Report 2016 awards programme, organised by the Institute of Accountancy and Taxes. The Company’s annual report, containing useful information presented in a user-friendly manner, was distinguished for its highest value for shareholders and investors. The judging panel highly rated the standard of presentation of Grupa Azoty’s strategy contained in the annual report, and its report on compliance with the Code of Best Practice for WSE Listed Companies was considered exemplary.

Wojciech Wardacki wins ‘Amber of the Polish Economy 2017’ award
Wojciech Wardacki, President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A., has been awarded the ‘Amber of the Polish Economy 2017’ for his consistent and successful efforts to build the image of the Polish chemical sector as safe, innovative and environmentally-friendly. The award winner was selected by the Programme Board of the European Business Centre during the 3rd Polish Economic Summit 2017 held in Siedlce.
