Given a stabilisation of natural gas prices on the European market seen in January, despite strong year-on-year increases in the prices of other fertilizer production inputs, including electricity, coal, phosphate rock and potassium chloride, the Grupa Azoty Group has decided to lower its prices of fertilizer products with effect from February 1st 2023.
Among other factors, the products we offer are priced based on current analyses and detailed calculations of total production costs, which are still subject to significant market fluctuations. In addition to volatile gas prices, fertilizer production costs are being largely driven by other factors as well, including major year-on-year increases in prices of electricity, coal, phosphate rock and potassium chloride.
Grupa Azoty has launched a new facility for the production of concentrated nitric acid with a design output of 40,000 tonnes per year, doubling its existing capacity. This is a second production line for above 98 per cent concentrated nitric acid now operating in Tarnów. It has brought the Tarnów plant’s total annual capacity for that product to 80,000 tonnes. As Grupa Azoty is the only Polish producer of concentrated nitric acid, the project is key to ensuring supplies of input materials for the manufacture of fine chemicals.
