Grupa Azoty Puławy files lawsuit against Polimex Mostostal over coal-fired unit
On December 23, 2024, a lawsuit was filed with the District Court in Lublin, seeking a judgment against the Consortium responsible for constructing the Coal-Fired Unit. The claim includes, among others, payment of PLN 249.2 million to Grupa Azoty Puławy for liquidated damages resulting from delays in completing the investment, specifically for failing to meet two critical milestones: “Synchronization of the Unit with the National Power System” and “Signing the Acceptance Protocol for Operation.” The lawsuit also seeks a court declaration that the Consortium had no right to demand a payment guarantee for construction work exceeding the actual value of that work (guaranteed by the Company at PLN 2.3 million) and had no valid grounds to withdraw from the contract.

Negotiations on Polimery Police: Cooperation and Stabilization Agreement signed between Grupa Azoty, Orlen S.A., Hyundai Engineering Co., LTD., and Korean Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation
The signing of the Cooperation and Stabilization Agreement marks the next phase in discussions between Grupa Azoty and Orlen. Both companies have reaffirmed their commitment to further analyze strategic options outlined in the Letter of Intent signed in September this year regarding Grupa Azoty Polyolefins. The agreement remains in force until March 31, 2025, or earlier, should specific conditions outlined in the agreement arise.

Grupa Azoty Polyolefins and Financial Institutions extend financing terms for Polimery Police for another period
Following detailed discussions and agreements with banking partners, Grupa Azoty Polyolefins has signed an Amendment to the Stabilization Agreement originally dated December 15, 2023, concerning the financing of the Polimery Police project. This amendment extends the terms of the Stabilization Agreement’s validity to January 31, 2025. The updated agreement has been finalized with 15 financial institutions.

The Agreement marks a return to the 2013 concept aimed at fostering effective collaboration between the Tarnów-based facility and the municipal authorities. New fifth nitric acid line launches in Grupa Azoty's Puławy plant
Grupa Azoty Puławy has commissioned the fifth line of its nitric acid installation, marking the completion of a key phase of the plant's startup process. The fifth line is part of a major modernization and construction project for nitric acid production and related facilities, valued at PLN 300 million. The project improves the efficiency of nitric acid production, enhances the economic feasibility of nitric acid-based fertilizers, and aims to reduce environmental emissions.

Grupa Azoty Launches Production of a New Fertilizer in December
Grupa Azoty is expanding its product portfolio with the introduction of a granular nitrogen fertilizer with sulfur and calcium, branded as eNpluS. This move continues the company's strategy to develop its offerings in line with market demands. The production of eNpluS will take place in Puławy and Kędzierzyn-Koźle, making it the latest addition to the product range in recent months. Earlier, the portfolio was enriched with megAN (a coarse-granule ammonium nitrate fertilizer) and RSM OPTIMA (a urea-ammonium nitrate solution with a unique light-blue color for easy identification of its origin).
